Soup’s On!
This is the Chamber’s community outreach bringing our citizens the opportunity to hear for themselves those who seem to always be in the news.

We’re going to stir the pot this year with our brand new luncheon series where you will hear from interesting personalities who will enlighten you on a variety of subjects to make you better informed.
We’ll talk politics in this political year; we’ll bring in local authors; we’ll find those who may just amuse you. Whatever comes up, our plan is to provide you a delicious lunch centering on a variety of soups, salads and of course, those breads we all love.
We have no agenda other than to provide citizens with yet another venue to network and learn. There will be no set days. The only thing that is set is that these will be luncheon meetings and we’re keeping the price affordable! We may have monthly luncheons, then again, we may not. Be sure to join us now and then.

U.S. Representative
Mark Amodei
If you haven’t heard Mark, here’s your chance to learn how he has taken to Washington D.C., or perhaps how Washington D. C. has taken to him.
Mark is an entertaining speaker, a graduate of Carson High and politically savvy, now representing most of Nevada in D.C.
He knows the ins and outs of Nevada politics and is now learning the ins and outs of national politics.
You’ll have plenty of time to ask those burning questions.

The Economic Impact of Sports Tourism in Carson City (and how you can capitalize on the trend)
There's lots of $$'s in any game that uses some kind of ball whether it is to bat it for a homerun or kick it to the moon and Carson City is capitalizing on it!
While Reno may have some notoriety as to their sports success (financed in large part by the taxpayer), Carson City is not far behind and we invite you to learn how to make $$'s on the many tournaments planned between April and November.
Just check out the tournament schedule and you will see for yourself why sports tournaments are important to us all.
By way of definition, sports tourism is defined as those who travel more than 100 miles to play on our fields. Attendees, whether to play or just watch, spend money freely throughout the city and Joel will tell you why this economic engine is so important.

RSVP: 882-1565 by April 20thDr. Eugene Paslov
He's charming. He's controversial. He's a rascal.
He's an outspoken and prolific Nevada Appeal columnist.
He'd educated to the max.
He's "been there and done that!"
You won't always agree with his politics or even his
stand on education, but know that this hour
spent with Dr. Paslov will be anything but boring.
Come hear what the man behind the written word has to say.
Ask him those burning questions.
He welcomes it!
